Obituary of Edward S. Harvey
The death of Edward S. Harvey, of 656 Brunswick Drive, Saint John, husband of Linda (Peacock) Harvey, occurred on Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was a son the of late Charles and Lottie (Dobson) Harvey. Ed was a painter for many years by profession. He was a retired member of the Brunswick High Rise Club holding the Citizen of The Year Award for 1998. Bestowed upon him was a Proclamation making him the Honourable Edward Harvey. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters; Margaret Sparks and Dorothy Martin both of Saint John, Lottie (Paul) Parker of Nova Scotia and Joanne (James) Murphy of Ontario as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Charles (Edith) and John (Margaret) and sisters Mariah Harvey and Martha (Bill) Peacock. Ed loved to help people and enjoyed life, so in death, he will do the same by contributing to the research at the Anatomy Department of Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. Cremation will follow at a later date. A Memorial Service will be held a Brunswick Street High Rise, 656 Brunswick Drive, Saint John, NB on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. By the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations to Handi-Bus, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation or Extra-Mural Program Foundation can be made in Ed’s honour. Ed is at peace, no more pain or worry. He is gone with God and will be missed by his loving wife and all who know him. Ed was a good man.
