Obituary of Estella M. Golding
Golding, Estella Maude (Ted) Born in 1910 in Flower's Cove on Grand Lake, Queens County to Benjamin and Maude (MacMann) Flower. Ted spent her early years in Newcastle Creek, Minto and Saint John where she graduated from Saint John High School. In 1928 she graduated from Mount Allison Ladies College in stenography. Before her marriage she worked for K. C. Irving as his secretary. In later years she was secretary to the medical director of the Saint John General Hospital, secretary to the director of the United Way Saint John, and secretary of the Learning Disabilities in Fredericton. She will be deeply missed by her son James, Fredericton, and daughters Janet (Christopher) Hawkins, Halifax and Mary Jane (Gary) Case, Grand bay-Westfield, and by her three cherished granddaughters, Andrea and Meghan Case, Saint John and Catherine Hawkins, Canmore, AB. She is also survived by nephew Peter (Wendy) Kent and grand nephew Darryl (Joe Ann) Kent all of Fredericton. Ted was predeceased by her husband Douglas W., 1975 and sister Lois M. Kent in 1979. Following cremation at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Brenans Chapel. Interment at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remebrances to the United Way would be appreciated.
