Obituary of William L. D. Perkins
The death of William “Bill” Lloyd Daryl Perkins of Golden Grove Road, Saint John, husband of Linda (Arseneault) (Fudge) Perkins, occurred on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 19, 1947, he was the son of the late Norman and Inez (Irvine) Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a pipe fitter at the Saint John Dry Dock for several years, before becoming a school teacher. He taught at St. Joseph’s School and Saint John High School until his retirement due to ill health. In his youth, Bill was part of the HMCS Brunswicker Reserve. Bill was a friend to everyone and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey (Trevor) of Rothesay and Trina Faubert (Bill) of Ottawa, ON, one step-daughter, Amy Fudge of Saint John, one sister, Norma Logue of Saint John, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased one sister, Evelyn Goodwin and brother-in-law, Ron “Buck” Logue. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 1:00 PM, followed by cremation. Remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
