Obituary of Mary ‘Brenda’ Caissie Martin
Martin, Mary ‘Brenda’ Caissie It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary ‘Brenda’ Caissie Martin, wife of Stephen Martin, which occurred after a courgeous battle with cancer on November 10, 2007 while surrounded by her family and friends at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of Clairilda (Rousselle) and the late Ovila Caissie. Having had several careers she most enjoyed retail work and was curently employed with Michaels craft store. She had a passion for all kinds of crafts and enjoyed movies and reading. Surviving are her mother Clairilda, husband Stephen, brothers: Donald (Debbie) of Saint John, Edgar of Toronto, sisters: Andrea (Bill DeBow) of Saint John, Norma Drew (Rheal Carrier) of Saint John, Aurella Caissie of Saint John, Melinda (Larry Cook) of Quispamsis, nieces and nephews: Bob (Lisa), Dan (Barb), Brenda Ann (Gordon), Don E. (Kelley), Marlene (Jason), Adam (Meghan), Leonard (Crystal), Matthew (Melissa), Kevin (Jodie), special friends Barbara and Theresa, great-nieces and great-nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:00 pm from St. Pius X Church, followed by cremation. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or Hospice Saint John would be appreciated.
