Obituary of Violet Elizabeth Pheobe Peterson
Following an extended period of failing health Violet Elizabeth Pheobe Peterson passed away peacefully on November 19, 2007 at her residence, Kennebec Manor. Born at Grove Hill, NB she was the daughter of the late Robert James and Alice ‘Pearl’ (Ellis) Totten. She is survived by her sons Douglas (Jean) of Barnesville, Robert of Oromocto, Randall of the Kingston Peninsula, daughters Barbara Chapman of Saint John, Marilyn Sommerville (William) of Barnesville, Carol Matthews of Saint John, Linda Peterson of Edmonton, AB, Nancy Gardiner (Daniel) of Saint John, sisters Frances Smith of Hope, BC, Marie Floyd of Barnesville, Hazel Cummings (Leslie) of Norton, Evelyn Brown of Hampton, 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her friend Murray Thompson, sisters Muriel O’Dell and Eunice Floyd, and brothers Elmer and Warren Totten. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from Brenan’s Chapel. The family will hold a private interment service. Remembrances made to the 7th Day Adventist Cemetery Fund (Barnesville) or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The family would like to express their thanks to the Dr Johnston, nurses and staff of the Kennebec Manor for the care their mother received over the years.
