Obituary of Edward Wayne VanBeelen
VanBeelen, Edward Wayne – The death of Wayne VanBeelen, of Clifton Royal, NB, husband of Dawn Marie (Clark) (Jack) VanBeelen, occurred on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Cornelis and Jean (Marney) VanBeelen. Wayne graduated from Simonds High School and attended the New Brunswick Community College. Wayne was employed as a Water and Sewage Operator for the City of Saint John for 34 years. He was a member of CUPE Local #18 and was a Boy Scout Leader for 15 years. Wayne enjoyed photography and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Alexander of Calgary, AB, his daughters; Melanie Wills-VanBeelen of Saint John and Chelsea Tessmann (Artie) of Lombard, IL, his step-children; Daniel, Shaun and David Jack and Susan Doull, his brothers; Cornelis Jr. (Marilyn) of Saint John and Frederick (Lana) of Quispamsis, NB, his grandchildren; Timothy Bakich and Cameron Wills, his step-grandchildren; Mariah Jack, Emma, Sarah and Meghan Doull, several nieces and nephews and his special friend, Bear, the dog. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 7 – 9 and Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from St. Pius X Church, Somerset Street, Saint John at 10:00 am. Interment to take place in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Chapel Grove. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to St. Bridget’s Church Renovation Fund. www.brenansfh.com
