Obituary of Herbert Curtis MacFadyen
MacFadyen, Herbert Curtis – The death of Herbert Curtis MacFadyen of Saint John, NB, husband of Janet (Waddell) MacFadyen, occurred on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his residence. Born in Canoe Cove, PEI on December 4, 1943, he was a son of the late Malcolm and Marybelle (MacKinnon) MacFadyen. Curtis was employed with Jacob’s Industrial at the Irving Oil Refinery as a pipe-fitter. Survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Wade (Amadea) of Quispamsis, NB; three daughters: Joanne (Kevin) Hughes of Charlottetown, PEI, Bev (Dave) Long of Quispamsis and Kim (Kelly) Dobson of Quispamsis; two brothers: Retus (Mary) of Riverview, NB and Victor of Cornwall. PEI; two sisters: Kaye (Bud) Morrison of Hampton, PEI and Sadie (Lorne) MacLean of Meadowbank, PEI; five sisters-in-law: Heather and Marty MacFadyen, Fern (Dana) Cahill, Marlene Waddell and Rena MacFadyen; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Glen and Everett, his twin. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11 am. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice and, although floral tributes are acceptable, the family have requested a "no perfume environment" for both the visitation and service.wwwbrenansfh.com
