Obituary of Beverley Henry ‘Bambi’ Doucette
Doucette, Beverley Henry ‘Bambi’ On March 3, 2008, Beverley Henry ‘Bambi’ Doucette, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He has gone to be with his Lord and savior after a courageous battle with cancer. Husband of Mary Helena (Wilcox) Doucette of Quispamsis, NB, born in Saint John on November 5, 1931. He is survived by his five sons and two daughters, David (Shawna) of Saint John, Beverly (Douglas) Fournier of Saint John, John (Virginia) of Quispamsis, James (Etta) of Saint John, Rodney (Bettie) of Saint John, Heather (John) Biggar of Saint John, Troy (Ronda) of Quispamsis, two sisters Mary Alliston, Lena Sheehan (Leo), twenty grandchildren along with his eighteen great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his cat Babe. Predeceased by one granddaughter Nancy Doucette, two brothers Joseph (Billy) and Arthur (Eddie) and by three sisters Kathleen, Shirley and Rose. He was a truck driver at Culligan and Gaskin for years and a service technician with Irving Oil home heating for 23 years. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed fishing, playing family games and he loved all his family dearly. He attended Jesus of Nazareth and River Valley Weslyan Churches. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Angels for their care of our husband, father and grandfather. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 2:15 pm, from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
