Obituary of Kier M. ‘Bucky’ Adams
Adams, Kier M. ‘Bucky’ It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, Kier M. ‘Bucky’ Adams, husband of Dorothy (MacLeod) Adams. Dad died peacefully, at home, on June 7, 2008, with his loving family by his side. Born in Alberton, PEI, October 12, 1933 to George and Edna Adams. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary Brown, Nellie Doiron, and Marie Adams, his brother Kieth Adams and granddaughter Erin. Bucky was a well known businessman having owned several small businesses in Saint John. During the 1970’s he owned and operated Diamond Taxi and later went on to establish D & M Paving. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy, his 8 children; Kier Jr. (Bonnie), Wayne (Brenda), Mary Hines (Stan), Susan Adams, Brenda Mazerolle (Danny), Debbie Dunn (Gerry), Kierlyn Stevenson (Alan), Joan Beniot (Roger), brother Harold, sisters Anita Kelly and Dorothy Adams, 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Following cremation the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm, from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated.
