Obituary of Florence Mae Abric White
The death of Florence Mae Abric White of Quispamsis, NB, wife of Gordon “Butch” White, occurred on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on September 16, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Elliot) Abric. Florence enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and harness racing. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Gordon “Butch” (Anne Marie) of Quispamsis, Robert “Robbie” (Megan) of Saint John and Mark Walton of Saint John; three brothers, Ralph of Saint John, Gary (Scarlet) of Shediac, NB and Randy (Cathy) of Saint John; three sisters, Gail Chatterton of Saint John, Nancy (Ed) Meger of Riverview, NB and Valerie (Brian) Grant of Saint John; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; a brother, Art Atcheson; and three sisters, Marjorie Atcheson, Joan Lavine and Lorraine Haig. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
