Obituary of Ralph Herman Edgar Hopps
The death of Ralph Herman Edgar Hopps, husband of Gladys Annie (Maillett) Hopps, occurred on January 14, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, NB, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Eva (Bradford) Hopps. He was employed with Ocean Steel for over 40 years in the stores department and as a foreman. He was a member of the F&AM Hibernia Lodge # 3. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Barry William MacMillan of Ontario, his daughters Debbie Rondeau-Hopps and her husband Richard of Boston, Brenda Lee Gould-Hopps on Antigonish, NS, Margaret Ann Melanson-MacMillan of Saint John, Mary Elizabeth Burns-MacMillan and her husband Fred of Saint John, Barbara Jean Pitt-MacMillan of Saint John, his brother Murray Hopps and his wife Marion of Toronto, his sisters Hazel Hill and her husband Bruce of Mississauga, Blanche (Hopps) and her husband Doug of middleton, NS, his grandchildren Troy, Vanessa, Sarah, Dylan and Daniel, his great grandchildren Shelby, Dallas, Marcie, Hunter and Gracie and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Following cremation the family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
