Obituary of E. June Brown
BROWN, E. JUNE- The death of Eunice June Brown of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Andrew James Brown, occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia on November 27, 1922 June was the daughter of the late Charles P.P. Holden and Jean Dorothy (Drew) Holden. She was a member of four seniors’ bridge clubs, IODE, and the Union Club; she was also an active member of the Meet and Greet Committee for the cruise ships; and she loved to knit and swim. June is survived by her son, Charles Andrew Brown (Patricia) of Chilliwack, BC; one daughter, Lynda (Derek) Anderson of Rosedale, BC; one brother, Peter C. Holden (Carol) of Kanata, Ontario; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband. Members of the family would like to express their gratitude to all who have cared for and supported them over the past days and invite all who are present at the funeral to a time to meet with the family and share their refreshments in the reception room in Brenan’s Funeral Home. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424), at the request of the family there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the IODE.
