Obituary of Bertha Elizabeth Kay McMackin
The death of Bertha McMackin of Saint John, NB occurred on Sunday, January 31, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was daughter of the late Gordon and Elizabeth Kay. Bertha had been employed at RMH Teleservices Inc. as a trainer; she enjoyed crafts, reading, cooking and her grandchildren. Survived by one daughter, Maureen (Max) Daviault of Portland, Maine; one son, Mark (Lisa) McMackin of Quispamsis, NB; husband, David McMackin of Sussex, NB; one brother, Lawrence (Margaret) Kay of Rothesay, NB; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, Walter Kay. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday, February 2, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 2:15 pm. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
