Obituary of Regina Shea

Shea, Mary Regina … Surrounded by her family, the passing of Regina Shea, wife of the late John Frank Shea, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, July 12, 2009. Born on June 19, 1922 at Millerton, NB a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Hogan) McEvoy. Regina devoted her life to her family. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and the Catholic Women’s League. Survived by her five children: Elizabeth Lyons of Peterborough, ON, Laureen Shea and Barbara Shea, both of Toronto, ON, Garey Shea (Joan) of Saint John, NB and Donald Shea (Shelley) of Woodstock, NB; sister, Kathleen Bowness of Ottawa, ON; eight grandchildren: Sarah, Laureen, Liam, Erin, Lauren, Aiden, Brendan and Jared; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Avery; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, John Frank Shea, her daughter, Kathleen Shea; and two brothers: Gerald and Louis McEvoy. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:00 am.
