Obituary of Elizabeth Betty Lucy Driscoll
Unexpectedly, the passing of Betty Driscoll, wife of the late Wesley A. Driscoll, of Kingston, NB occurred on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1939 at Saint John to the late Gordon and Edna (Smith) Smith. Betty worked for many years as a home care provider. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She is survived by three sons: Randy of Toronto, ON, Eddie (Karen) of Saint John, NB and Billy of Kingston, NB; two daughters: Wendy Driscoll (Al) of Kingston, NB and Tammy McGuigan (Gary) of Charlottetown, PE; 12 grandchildren; seven brothers; two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Power; one brother and two sisters. She will be missed by all of her family, especially her dog Snuggles. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Erb’s Cove Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
