Obituary of Harry James Francis Gormley

Gormley, Harry James Francis - The death of Harry J. F. Gormley, husband of Sandra (Robichaud) Gormley, occurred November 12, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 47. Harry was born on October 3, 1962 in Saint John, NB, a son of Nancy (Whytewood) Gormley and the late John Gormley. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and mother, Nancy as well as his four children; Shane Melvin, Robert Gormley, Kevin Gormley, and Patricia Calhoun (Lee) all of Saint John; two sisters; Sara Cook (David) of Welsford, Brenda Craig of Saint John; two brothers; John Gormley (Tanya) and Ronnie Gormley, both of Grand Bay - Westfield; as well as several nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his father, John Gormley. Harry was a lifelong resident of Saint John area. A painter by trade he was a member of the Painters and Allied Union; he was employed with JAMAC Ltd. An avid outdoorsman, Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harry will be fondly remembered for his infectious laugh as he was well loved by all who had the pleasure to know him. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption church, 360 Dufferin Row at 12 noon on Monday, November 16, 2009. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
