Obituary of E. Beatrice Hill
The death of Bea Hill of 177 Mount Pleasant Avenue, wife of the late George A. Hill, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Born in Saint John, Bea was the daughter of the late Gerald and Myrtle (Avery) Cooper. She was a life long resident of Saint John and educated in local schools. Bea graduated from Saint John High School and after attending business college, she was employed for many years in the office at T.S. Simms Ltd. She was a member of St. George’s Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Tuesday Night Club. Bea was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda Ann. Bea is survived by a daughter Elizabeth (Liz) M. Tuplin (Norman) of Saint John, 1 granddaughter Elizabeth Savoy (Douglas) of Edmonton, AB, one grandson William G. Savoy of Saint John, 1 great granddaughter Jessica Marie. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at St. George’s Anglican Church, Watson Street, at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
