Obituary of J. Medley LeBlanc
Due to complications of Alzheimer's disease, J. Medley LeBlanc, 88 years of age, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Tuesday February 24, 2004. Born in Nova Scotia, the son of the late Elmeric Anthony and Catherine Anne (Robichaud) LeBlanc. Medley was raised in Musquash where he had a Trapline and worked at the Power Plant. He lived most of his life in Saint John but he spent 10 years in Toronto. In his early years, he worked as a lineman for Saint John Civic Hydro and the rest of his working life he worked as an international representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. An avid hunter and fisherman he spent much time at his camp in Musquash. A kind, talented and intelligent man, Medley always cared for his family. We shall miss him. He is survived by his wife, Hannah Isabel (Orr) LeBlanc, of Saint John, NB, his son J. Medley LeBlanc Jr. of Saint John, NB, his sister Mary Catherine LeBlanc of London, Ontario and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother James Arthur LeBlanc. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 28, 2004 at 10 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
