Obituary of Harvey Doiron
Harvey Doiron life long resident of Saint John, husband of Joan Louise (Marshall) Doiron, passed away unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Born at Caraquet, NB on January 26, 1923, he was a son of the late Richard and Emily (Lanteigne) Doiron. Harvey was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of sixty years. He was employed with Saint John Ship Building & Dry Dock for thirty-seven years before retirement. He is survived by his wife Louise; son, David Edward (Deborah) of Hampton; daughter, Elaine Carol Doiron of Saint John; sister, Cecile Dever of Toronto; sisters-in-law, Alice and Edith Doiron both of Saint John; grandchildren, Michael and Tom (Kim); great-grandchildren, Seth, Cyrus and Brooke; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Harvey was predeceased by brothers, Edmund and Ernest; and sisters, Edith Roy and Magella Blanchard. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
