Obituary of Trevor Neill
Surrounded by his loving family, the death of Trevor Neill of Millidgeville, husband of 58 years to Eleanor (Clarke) Neill occured on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bangor, Northern Ireland, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Neill of Bangor, Northern Ireland. Trevor was a well known musician in Saint John, serving as an organist and choir director at many Saint John area churches. He is also credited with establishing the first handbell choir in the city, and was active as a member of the Gideons for 62 years. Trevor was a founding member of Hillcrest Village, and a faithful attendee of Rothesay Baptist Church. He spent many years working at Downey Ford, retiring as General Manager. Besides his wife, Trevor is survived by his daughter Janice (Lloyd Craig) of Quispamsis, granddaughter Katelynn (Lee Everett) of Fredericton, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Tom and Bertie. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be celebrated from Rothesay Baptist Church, Vincent Road on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11 AM.
