Obituary of V. Dale Mannett
The death of V. Dale Mannett wife of Whitfield (Ducky) Mannett, of St. Martins, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday March 31, 2004. Born in Saint John January 5, 1946 the daughter of Elsie (Verner) Gillcrist and the late Roy Gillcrist. A life long resident of this area, she served for 23 years as an independent Avon Sales Dealer. She was an active member of St. Martin's Concerned Citizens Group. She was a member St. Martins United Church and a former Sunday School Teacher. Surviving besides her husband and mother, are her two son's, Scott of St. Martins and Jonathan of Kingston, Ontario, her two brothers Sterling (Barb) Gillcrist of Quispamsis and Gregory Gillcrist of London, Ontario, her mother-in-law Ethel Mannett and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Glendon Gillcrist. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John. NB, with visiting on Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday with service at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Mosher Hill Cemetery, St. Martins. Remembrances may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, the St. Martins Concerned Citizens Group, or a charity of the donor's choice.
