Obituary of M. Norma Basque
The unexpected passing of M. Norma Basque of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Leonard Basque, occurred on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her residence. Born in Millbank, Miramichi, NB on April 14, 1941. She was a daughter of the late Harold and Josephine (Stuart) Bradford. Norma enjoyed playing bingo, Yahtzee and darts. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who where the apple of her eye. She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Sheryl) Basque; Ivan Basque and Lester Clark; three daughters, Terri (Sterling) Totten; Rose Mary (Eugene Brideau) and Amy (Frank) Godsoe; one brother, Ronnie; four sisters, Vernica, Annabelle, Beulah and Dorothy; thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren; best friend, Joyce Learmonth; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters, Ada and Lona; two brothers, Blair and Arthur. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity of choice.
