Obituary of David Zachariah Kane Thyr

David Zachariah Kane Thyr passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on August 30, 1979, in Saint John and was the son of Leonard and Robin Thyr. David had a great passion for jazz music and studied music at St. Francis Xavier University. He loved the outdoors and nature, martial arts, and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his parents, Leonard and Robin Thyr, David is survived by his sisters, Sarah Thyr and Melissa (Shawn) Thorne; cousin, Heath Skinner; niece, Madison Thorne; nephew, Sawyer Thorne; grandmother, Dorothy Derrick; aunts, April, Nedra Lee Prisk, Heather Prisk,Wanda Melway, Maida Smeltzer, and Shirley Nielson; and uncle Ron Thyr. Many cousins and friends. David was predeceased by his grandmother, Evelyn Pickersgil; grandfathers Keith Crick and Selmer Thyr; uncles John Thyr, Brian Thyr, and Guy Crick. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:30 PM. Remembrances may be made to Mind Care New Brunswick.
