Obituary of Muriel C. T. Walton
Muriel C. T. Walton of Saint John, wife of the late Harold H. Walton, passed away peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa after a brief illness. Born at Saint John on February 16, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Maude (Delaney) Ashe. Muriel was a former member of Branch # 14 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and was a member of the Loch Lomond Villa Seniors, and volunteered at the Villa when she was able. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts, as well as playing games. Muriel is survived by two sons, David Walton (Cheryl) of Barrie, Ontario, and Robert "Bobby" Walton of Mill Cove; grandchildren Scott Walsh and Shelley Millett; great grandchildren Alex Millett and Jennifer Millett; great great grandchildren Destiny, Damien, Angelina, Emily, Candace, Lillian, and Leland; and several nieces and nephews. Muriel was predeceased by brothers Cedric and Clifford Ashe; and by a sister, Margaret Best. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Kingston. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
