Obituary of Connie Spicer
Spicer, Gladys Constance Joyce – It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Connie Spicer, on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital. After a brief period of failing health and surrounded by her family, Connie went to be with her best friend; her husband, the late Delbert T. Spicer who passed away in 2001. She was born on September 27, 1925 in Saint John to the late Ralph and Olive (Larsen) Tower. Connie devoted her life to her husband and family. She was a stay at home Mom, who took pride in her children and home. She was a lover of animals, and was never with out a pet. Her cat "Pud" will dearly miss her. Connie is survived by her daughters: Twila Spicer of Saint John and Sherrie Michaud (Richard) of Quispamsis; brother, Charles "Buzz" Tower of Ontario; two grandsons: Shane (Alana) and Brandon Michaud; great-grandson, Tyler and step-great-granddaughter, Stephanie. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). At her request there will be no public visitation. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League or Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) would be appreciated by the family.
