Obituary of Cyril Alfred Irving Brannen

The death of Cyril Brannen of Chateau Champlain, Saint John, NB, husband of Dawn E. (Wilkie) Brannen occurred May 11, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on Cape Sable Island, NS, son of the late Harris and Blanche (Smith) Brannen. Cyril worked for the Federal Government as a radio regulations inspector. He loved sailing and was a member of the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club and the Saint John Marina. Besides his wife of 68 years, he is survived by one daughter Barbara Tebow (J. Dean), Edmonds, Washington, USA, two brothers Jack Brannen (Susan), Halifax, NS, William Brannen (Claire), Pennsylvania, USA, three grandchildren Peter, Christopher, and Scott Tebow, and eight great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Gordon and Gerald Brannen, and one daughter Kathryn Brannen. Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, in charge of arrangements. The family invites friends to a reception at Chateau Champlain, 300 Boars Head Road, Saint John, N.B. at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2004.
