Obituary of John Frederick Wright

Unexpectedly the death of John Frederick Wright Sr. of Todd Street, loving and devoted husband of Gloria (Roy) Wright of 32 years, occurred on Thursday, October 24, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Daisy (Clark) Wright. John was employed with the Atlantic Superstore as a Baker and the Dominion Store, an avid bow hunter, gardener, enjoyed walking and biking. A devoted and loving father he is survived by one son John Wright Jr. of Saint John, one daughter Patricia (Adam) Wright-Webb of Calgary, one step-daughter Laurie Roy of Saint John, three brothers Thomas (Mary) Wright of Saint John, James (Barb) Wright of Public Landing, Eugene (Carrie) Wright of Grand Manan, four sisters Joan (Jack) Gosse of Public Landing, Grace Wright of Saint John, Frances (Doug) Gray, Molly (Jack) Cyril of Saint John, one grandson Aaron Horn, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by one sister Bonita Smith. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 & 27, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 28, 2002 from St. Peter's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
