Obituary of Marion Isabel Finley VanBuskirk
The death of Marion Isabel Finley VanBuskirk, wife of the late William T. VanBuskirk, occurred on May 29, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born In Saint John she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret S. (Simpson) Parsons. She was employed with the Telegraph-Journal and Evening Times Globe and retiring from Neilson Clearing House in 1975. She was a member of the Brunswick Street Residence Committee and enjoyed summering at her cottage on Cassidy Lake. Her great love in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son Randy and his wife Sharon of Scarborough, ON, her daughter Dawn Murphy and her husband Wayne of Saint John, her brother Malcolm Parsons and his wife Viola of Cape Breton, her grandchildren Candy, Colleen, Patricia, Sara and Ben, her great-grandchildren Natasha, Reilly and Jennifer and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers George Parsons and Bill Gordon and her sister Mary Lawton. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 1:00 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Arthritis Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
