Obituary of Marie Elizabeth Hachey

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Hachey of Garnett Settlement, age 75 years, loving wife of Peter Hachey, occurred on May 30, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 22, 1929 in Saint Isidore, she was the daughter of the late John and Adeline (Richard) Arseneault. Elizabeth was an employee of Northern Telecom until her retirement in 1994. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Peter of 60 years, three sons Marcel (Jennifer) Saint John, Emile (Sheila) Quispamsis and Gordon (Nancy) Garnett Settlement, six grandchildren, Gail, Jamie, Tricia, Andrew, Alex and Adam. Two great-grandchildren Madison and Devon, four sisters Josephine Hachey and Eva Anderson of Saint John, Yvonne Gaze and Annette Gaze of Montreal, and four brothers Bernard and Jules of Michigan Gustave of Toronto and Oliver of Truro, brother-in-law, Christie, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son Jules 1987, brothers Donat, Telephord, Joseph and Azade, sister Julie LeBreton. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, with visiting on Tuesday June 1, 2004 2-4, 7-9 and Wednesday June 2, 2004 2-4, 7-9. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 3, 2004 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 4347 Loch Lomond Road. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
