Obituary of Ernest Stevens
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ted Ernest Delbert Stevens of Carters Point, NB, which occurred on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at his residence. Born on June 24, 1937 in Saint John he is a son of the late Ernest and Irene (Buckley) Stevens. Ted was employed with Cash and Carry Cleaners as a painter. He loved to play guitar. He is survived by his seven children: Sharon Stevens, Kathy Stevens, Bonnie Curran all of Saint John, Irene Stevens of the US, Jason Stevens, Peter Stevens, and Percy Stevens all of Saint John; one brother: Greg Stevens (Carol) of Saint John; two sisters: Sonia Pye (Donnie) and Carol DeGrace (Gill) both of Saint John; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one son, Bruce and three brothers, Donnie, Harold, Roy; one sister, Joan. Ted will be sadly missed by family and friends. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
