Obituary of Bernadine M. Kiley
The death of Bernadine M. Kiley of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Saint John she was the youngest daughter of the late Urbain and Helen (Kiervin) Kiley. Bernadine retired after working many years for John A. Kennedy and Co. She was a resident of the North End her entire life. Bernadine was a member of St. Peter’s Parish and the Ladies CWL. Her passions included trips to Boston, MA shopping with her mother and sisters, and baseball games at Fenway Park. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; including, Paul of Innisfeld, AB, Ernest (Sharon) of Wynyard, SA and Kenneth of Calgary, AB; many cousins and dear friends. Bernadine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, M. Irene McLaughlin (Don) and Marjorie Dupont (Adrian). Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11:00 am by Father Joseph Ruta CSsR. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice.
