Obituary of Earl J. Cyr
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Earl Joseph Cyr, husband of Joyce (Bradford) Cyr, which occurred on Saturday April 14, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Malauze, NB on March 31, 1938. Earl was the son of the late Frank and Hannah (Wilman) Cyr. Earl worked various jobs until 1977 he became the owner and operator of Cyr’s Auto Salvage. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce; children: David (Anita), Terry, Kevin (Janet), Debbie (Andrew) and Jamie (Laurie); siblings Georgina, Elizabeth "Bessie", William (May), Johnny (Marg) and Ellen (Emilien); twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Earl is predeceased by his parents, brothers, Leonard and Henry; sisters, Geneva, Irene and Edna and grandson, Jeffrey. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
