Obituary of Jessie Mae Dunlap
It is with heavy hearts the family of Jessie M. Dunlap, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late George D. Dunlap, announce her death which occurred on May 28, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Moncton, a daughter of the late Reginald and Annie (Carson) Wilkins. Jessie spent the greater part of her life in Saint John and was employed for many years at the Red Grill, at the former Woolco department store. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a dear and loyal friend to many. Jessie was predeceased by her stepmother, Audrey Wilkins; two brothers, Clarence and Donald Wilkins; and a sister, Blanche Wilkins. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Tonge (Tom) of Quispamsis; her son, David Dunlap of Saint John East; one brother, Reginald Wilkins (Beverley) of Abbotsford, BC; two sisters, Joan MacKenzie and Beverley McLean, both of Moncton; three grandchildren, Scott and Chris Tonge and Shannon McCarthy and six great grandchildren, Brooke, Logan, Kaitlin, Sami, Ava and Carter. The family would like to thank the SICUnit for the excellent care given to our mother. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
