Obituary of Murray Vernon Jewett

The death of Murray Vernon Jewett of Fredericton, NB occurred on June 23rd, 2004 at Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Geraldine (Donovan) Jewett and husband of Ann M. (Rogers) Jewett. Murray retired in 1991 after 37 years with NB Power. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Survived by his wife, Ann M. Jewett; two sons, Frank (Irene) Jewett of Noonan, NB and Mark Anthony Jewett of Fredericton, NB; one grandson, Josh Jewett of Noonan; one brother, Allison (Anita) Jewett of Fredericton, NB and one sister, Shirley (Wendell) Halsall of Saint John, NB. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, June 25th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 26th, 2004 at 10:00 am. Rev. Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Poore, Donald Dinsmore, Yvone Durrelle, Algie Holland, Seigfried Mehlitz, Robin Rickard, Glen Anderson and Ken Tracy. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to the Camp Good Times Masonic Charities and Housing or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, would by appreciated by the family.
