Obituary of Baby Dexter Tilman Hawkes
Baby Dexter Tilman Hawkes, infant son of Michael and Krista (Daigle) Hawkes, passed away on July 8, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Dex spent most of his 8 months in the hospital PICU's, the IKW in Halifax and the Saint John Regional Hospital where he was everybody's darling. This tiny bundle had a wonderful attitude towards life, his personality charmed all who knew him. He communicated with us silently using his smiley eyes and his raised eyebrows, letting us all know exactly what he was feeling. His Dad's “Crazy Bean” and his Mom's “Wee Dex”-their sunshine-he taught them to be strong, tough, determined. He was a wise old soul, who taught us all some valuable life lessons. Besides his parents he is survived by his grandparents Ron and Ann Daigle of Grand Bay-Westfield, Don and Ruth Hawkes of Fredericton, his great-grandmother Margaret Hawkes, his aunts and uncles Robert Hawkes, Lynn and Chris Banks, Lisa and Jason Roy, Trevor Daigle and Kristy Goodwin, and several cousins. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, July 12, 2004, at 2:30 PM, from Brenan's Chapel followed by cremation. Remembrances made to the IWK Children's Hospital or the Saint John Regional Hospital PICU would be appreciated by the family.
