Obituary of R. Lee Farris

Ronald "Lee" Farris of Saint John passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his residence. Born in Jemseg on July 27, 1948, he was a son of Dorothy (Thorne) Farris and the late Ronald L. Farris. Lee was employed as a carpenter with Erb Builders until he was 27 years old, when he had a car accident and became confined to a wheelchair. He was an avid outdoorsman, who would often be seen at Rockwood Park admiring the deer, birds, and squirrels. As a great lover of animals, Lee was very fond of his cat, Miss Lily Belle, and his two dogs, Snoop and Caesar (aka Boo). In addition to his mother of Saint John, Lee is survived by his special friend and caregiver, Linda Hall and her son Catlin of Saint John; his sister, Eleanor Morehouse (Ivan) of Lower Hainesville; two nephews, Craig Morehouse (Wendy) of Zealand and Barry Morehouse (Gloria) of Lower Hainesville; and an uncle, Niven Thorne (Joyce) of McDonald’s Corner. In keeping with Lee’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be observed at this time. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Paraplegic Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
