Obituary of Beatrice Colleen Beers

Beers, Beatrice C. – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Beatrice "Bea" Colleen (Connors) Beers of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Aubrey C. Beers, which occurred on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 26, 1915 in Pubnico, NS, she was a daughter of the late John and Lucy (Hamilton) Connors. Bea was a graduate of Vocational School; homemaker,enjoyed working at the Willett Fruit Company, Sears; did community work and was an avid member and Sunday School Teacher at Edith Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Aubrey Beers (Barbara) of Burlington, ON, granddaughter, Jennifer Kirkpatrick-Davis (Steven). Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Gloria Kirkpatrick and sister, Shirley Ann. To honour the request of the family there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances to Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated by the family.
