Blair Bizeau

Obituary of Blair David Bizeau

It is with great sadness that the family of Blair David Bizeau announces his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 27, 2012. Blair was born in Bathurst, NB on October 23, 1950, he was the son of the late Albina and Gustave Bizeau. Blair was a millwright by trade and worked at Point Lepreau Nuclear Plant for 26 years in various positions before retiring. Following his retirement he worked for AECL then most recently for a company in Edson, AB where he became ill. Blair was a genuine person with a kind, loving, outgoing personality and a great big smile that was infectious. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, bingo, movies but especially camping for years at the Pine Cone in Sussex. Blair has left many good friends at Pine Cone who have special memories of the late night card games and socializing by the fire. His passion for travel took him on many cruises and distant places. His other special interest was the Navy. Blair dedicated many years of service starting as a cadet at age 14. He worked hard over the years and became Lieutenant Commander of the Number 9 Rodney Sea Cadets. After which he assumed the duties of number 268 Bras D’Or Sea Cadets again as Lieutenant Commander ending in 1994. Blair poured his heart and soul into it, having a great influence on many young cadets along the way. I am sure they will remember him fondly. His belief in service drew him to serve as Kinsmen in the earlier years and now as a member of the Kennebecasis Lions Club. Blair is survived by his wife, Joanne (Jewers) Bizeau whom he loved dearly for 7 ½ years. In addition to his wife he is survived by two loving daughters, Lisa (Peter) Hanson of Rothesay and Lynn (Bizeau) Tulk (Boyfriend, Jason Sandwith) of Quispamsis; mother of his children, Angela (Bordage) Bizeau; step children, Hannah and Emily Jewers; grandchildren, Devon, Katie, Brandon and Breanna. He is also survived by his brother, Johnny (Corrine) Bizeau and sister, Bernice (Eddie) Condé; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Blair was predeceased by his parents and brother, Leo Bizeau. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of extra mural and the palliative care unit for their comforting care.
