Obituary of Vernon Wayne Phillips

With heavy hearts, the family of Vern Phillips, of Saint John, announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Born December 6, 1942, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Holly Osborne and Pearl Gertrude (Wooden) Phillips. Prior to his retirement, Vern worked as a labourer at Ocean Steel and as a taxi driver in Saint John. He is survived by his daughter, Diane; son, Kevin; sister, Jean Flowers; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Vern was predeceased by his sister, Diane; and four brothers: Hazen, Redolph, Arthur "Butch", and Kenny. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Vern’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.
