Obituary of Brian Joseph McMurray

Surrounded by his family, Brian passed away peacefully on November 29, 2012 at Bobby’s Hospice. He was born on January 16, 1945, to the late Lydia (Llewellyn) and Joe McMurray. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Judy (Hickey) of 46 years. He leaves behind his son Joey (Linda), daughters Kelly (Will McAdam), Jacqueline Atwell, and Kathy Walker (Ryan). He was adored by his nine grandchildren; Rebecca, Megan, Emily, Olivia, Mya, Marcus, Juliet, William and Allison. He is survived by his brothers, Art (Mary) and Michael, sisters Joan Doyle (Tom), Pat Rowan, and Susan McMurray (Bob). He will also be missed by many special in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Frank. Brian was a proud employee of Moosehead Breweries Ltd., for thirty six years. He loved the outdoors, and spending time with his family and good friends. He will be forever remembered for his kindness, and wonderful sense of humour. The family would like to thank the entire staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Dufferin Row on Monday, December 3rd at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
