Obituary of Andrew Norman Hill
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Andrew "Andy" Hill, on December 6, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Midland, Ontario, on August 12, 1945, he was a son of the late Norman and Ina Hill. Andy, a loving husband and devoted father, is survived by his wife, Ruth (Trenholm) Hill, daughters, Samantha Hill (Aaron Booth) and Abigail (Todd) Wawryk, grandchildren, Ethan Wawryk and Ellyn Booth, brother-in-law, Bob (Pat) Trenholm, sister-in-law, Mary Jane Logan, nieces, Jo-Anne Hill, Janice Hill-Bray and Nancy Hill-MacInnis, as well as a cousin, Patricia (Hill) Humphrey. In addition to his parents, Andy was predeceased by his brother, James "Jim" Alexander Hill. Andy worked as a marketing representative across the province of NB for Provincial Insurance, USF&G and Canadian General Insurance. He enjoyed his trips to the South Shore of NS and PEI, curling, golfing, boating, cooking and spending time with his family and friends, who greatly enjoyed his sense of humour. Andy was a grateful recipient of a kidney and volunteered as a speaker with the Kidney Foundation. He was involved in fundraising for the Canadian Diabetes Association. He was a Notary Public as well as a member of the Insurance Institute of New Brunswick and the Blue Goose Organization. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday from 2-4 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the Kidney Foundation (Saint John Chapter), the Canadian Diabetes Association, or Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
