Obituary of Robert Malcolm Dixon
After a lengthy illness at the age of 73, Bobby Dixon, husband of Lynn passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Bobby worked various jobs throughout his career including: in the Textile Industry in Montreal, Canadian Coast Guard, operated his own take-out and for the Saint John Dry Dock from where he retired. Besides Lynn, his wife, Bobby is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Jamie) of Saint John; grandchildren: Andrew "The Bue" and Ryan "The Little Bue"; siblings: Hilton (Winnie), Blair (Karen) and Beatrice (Floyd), his girls: Karen Owens, Eunice "Prunie" O'Ree, Rosalyn Blackett and his sitting buddies: nephew Danny White and Joe (the Handyman); sister-in-law, Pierrette; brother-in-law, Hermie Thompson and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. Bobby is predeceased by his parents George and Muriel (Goldsmith), siblings Betty, Leonard, Margo, Eleanor (Carl), Phyllis, Frank, Norma (Speed), Stanley; niece, Susie White and nephew, Derrick Dixon. Bobby leaves us all with many great memories and we will miss his stories. If ever you needed to know the goings-on in Saint John, Bob could let you know. We will celebrate Bobby's life at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visitation on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Private Family Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Black Community would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
