Obituary of Henry Lorne Ougler
It is with great sadness the family of Henry Lorne Ougler Sr. announce his passing, which occurred peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 16, 1929, he was a son of the late Vincent and Mae (Robichaud) Ougler. Henry was employed as a longshoreman with the Port of Saint John. He was an honourary member of the International Longshoreman’s Association Local 273, and in his spare time he enjoyed reading and walking. Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beulah (Muise) Ougler; his children, Linda Reynolds (Peter) of Burnaby, BC, Henry Jr. (Marina) of Quispamsis, Susan McCambridge (Michael) of Saint John, Kathy Ougler of Saint John, and Patricia Ougler (Doug Greenlaw) of Saint John; stepchildren Roseann Crosby, Donald Smith, and Benjamin Smith; grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher, Sarah, Kristin, and Elizabeth; great grandchildren Evan and Thomas; nephew, Jeffrey and nieces, Karen and Anne. Henry was predeceased by a brother, George; a sister, Emily Holmes; and step-children David and Sonny Smith. In keeping with Henry’s wishes, all funeral services will be held privately. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
