Obituary of Edward Beldon Boyce
The death of Edward "Ned" Beldon Boyce of Saint John, beloved husband of Shirley (Hewey) Boyce, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton on October 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Roy and Eva (McKim) Boyce. Prior to his retirement, Ned was employed with the CNR for over thirty years. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Saint John Sea Dogs fan. His Baptist faith always held a special place in his heart. Besides his wife, Shirley, Ned is also survived by his children, Brian, Malcolm (Karen Hayden), Susan Fournier, Sharon Fournier (Larry) all of Saint John; grandchildren, Billy and Matthew Fournier, Selena and Curtis Fournier and Ryan Boyce; four great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nedra and brother, Robert. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 6, 2013, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
