Obituary of David Lloyd George McQuinn
David Lloyd George McQuinn, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on November 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Lloyd William and Hilda (Gibbs) McQuinn. David worked for the Telegraph Journal for over 33 years. He loved to watch hockey and was a fan of the Saint John Sea Dogs. David volunteered for The Orange Program and Kennebec Manor. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; sons, Malcolm (Lisa) McQuinn; Troy (Debbie) Carpenter; daughters, Marcia (Joe) Salamone; Erica (Lindsay) Cole; sister, Dale (Bob) Burnett; grandchildren, Kayla and Madison McQuinn; Anna-Maria Salamone; Alexis Cole; Gavin, Cohen and Braelyn Carpenter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, October 28 from 6-8 and Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, IWK Health Centre or Seventh Day Adventist Church would be appreciated by the family.
