Obituary of Kenneth Sinstadt
The unexpected death of Ken Sinstadt occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1960 in Saint John to the late William and Dorothy (Armstrong) Sinstadt. Ken was a seaman with the Royal Canadian Navy; three years into his service he was injured and his injury forced him into retirement. His hobbies included woodworking and woodcarving; he was a very gifted woodcarver. He also had love of building wooden boats and repairing them. An avid outdoorsman, Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 Lancaster. Ken is survived by his twin sister: Kim Mason (Bruce) of Saint John; sister, Sandra Major (Norman) of Public Landing; brother, Michael Sinstadt (Susan) of British Columbia; a niece; several nephews and longtime friends: Stephen Forgeron of Quispamsis and Heather McNeill of Dartmouth, NS. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service will take place at 2:00 pm followed by a celebration of Ken’s life. For those who wish, remembrances to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
