Obituary of Douglas S. Kinsman
On Monday, January 27, 2014 Rev. Douglas Kinsman, husband of Barbara (Small) Kinsman went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Douglas was born on November 21, 1924 in Saint John to the late Charles and Agnes (Ingraham) Kinsman. He was ordained at Germain Street Baptist Church in 1962 where he was associate pastor. Rev. Kinsman served in Kincardine, ON, Cornwall, ON, Kingsville, ON, Hartland, NB and retired from Gunningsville, NB. He was a past member of the Rotary Club and the Golden K - Kiwanis Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed curling, skiing, skating and had a love for music. Douglas is survived by his adored wife of over 58 years, Barbara; sister, Betty Anderson (William) of Goderich, ON and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Peggy Herrington. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Visitation will be held from Lancaster United Baptist Church on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm with the Funeral Service starting at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place in Maces Bay Community Cemetery in the spring.
