Obituary of Muriel Kneeland Elsie
The death of Elsie M. Kneeland wife of the late Frederick Kneeland occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a rather brief illness. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late James and Hermina (Heys) Rossiter. Elsie lived most of her life in West Saint John. She worked at the DVA Hospital for many years in the Operating Room Pack Room. Elsie was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She kept busy, knitting and crocheting for family and was an avid reader. Elsie's family was the center of her existence, she idolized her children and grandchildren, she will be truly missed by all her family and friends. Elsie is survived by two daughters, Nancy Kneeland, Halifax, NS and Patricia Watters (Dan), Dartmouth, NS, two grandchildren Danielle and Andrew Watters. She is predeceased by two brothers Barnard and Lloyd Rossiter, four sisters Matilda Chipman, Beatrice Walsh, Gladys Hulme and Margaret Frazee. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Monday, September 13, 2004, at 12:00 PM, with interment to follow in Cedar Hill Extension. Donations in Elsie's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or donors choice.
