Obituary of Alden Brewster
Alden V. Brewster, Nerepis passed away on March 20, 2014 in Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 01, 1936 he was a son of the late William and Florence May (Stacey) Brewster. Alden was a carpenter by trade, he took great pride in it, for him it was not just a job but a hobby as well. He loved his family life and loved his grandchildren dearly. He retired from the Saint John Shipyard (Dry Dock) Surviving are his wife, Barbara; children, Gloria (Doug) Farren; Kelly (Stephen) LeBriton; Tina (Carl) Warnock and Terry Burnier; brothers, Holis (Shirley) Brewster; David Sholts; sisters-in-law, Terry (Ed) Gutknecht and Joan Burgess; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Alva Brewster; brothers-in-law, Edward and Kenneth Jarvis. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, March 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Brenan's Chapel on Monday, March 24, 2014, at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
