Obituary of Dorothy Neilson Gibson Curren

The death of Dorothy Neilson Gibson Curren, of 303 Douglas Avenue, Saint John, wife of the late Charles Curren, occurred on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Josh and Annie (McConnell) Cowan and great grand-daughter of Alexander (Boss) Gibson. Dorothy was a graduate of Saint John High School and was a member of and held executive positions in St. Andrews Curling Club, Westfield Golf and Country Club, Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club and the I.O.D.E. She is survived by one daughter, Anne Gibson Mosher and her husband Brian of Saint John, two grandsons, Luke and Adam Mosher, one great grandson, Jake McGraw, one nephew, John Taylor (Pat) and grand nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Susan and Josh Taylor. She was predeceased by one sister, Marjorie Taylor. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Extra Mural Hospital Foundation or St. Joseph's Hospital 6th floor would be appreciated.
